      Drunken driver gets more than prison for fatal wrong-way crash

      A Michigan man will spend at least eight years behind bars and never drive again for killing a man in a wrong-way drunken driving crash on Christmas Day.

      Adam Tunison, 42, of LaSalle, Mich., pleaded no contest to aggravated vehicular homicide for the crash that killed 26-year-old Juan Garcia early Christmas morning last year. Tunison was accused by prosecutor's of drunken and reckless driving when he hit Garcia's car head on while going the wrong way on southbound I-75 near Ottawa River Road. Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene.

      At sentencing Tuesday, Lucas County Common Pleas Court Judge Frederick McDonald sentenced Tunison to the maximum of eight years in prison. He also suspended Tunison's driver's license for life.
