A sobriety checkpoint outside the University of Toledo's campus netted drunken drivers and over a dozen arrests late Friday into Saturday morning.
UT Police, along with officers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Ottawa Hills, Sylvania Township, and Lucas County Sheriff's Office manned the checkpoint on Dorr Street at Towerview South from 9 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. Saturday.
Of 765 vehicles stopped, the checkpoint identified four drunken drivers and brought about 13 arrests for misdemeanor warrants and non-traffic offenses, and 12 driving with suspended license citations.
Authorities said 60 vehicles were diverted through the checkpoint.
One arrest was for having a firearm.
