Less than 24 hours after the mother of a missing East Toledo toddler was arrested for child endangerment, an anonymous source released surveillance video that shows her in a different light.
According to the source, the video was taken the day before the toddler was reported missing. Angela Steinfurth can be seen kissing 18-month-old Elaina Steinfurth on the head and cradling her.
The person that released the video (only to WNWO's Bryant Maddrick) says the surveillance images were captured at his home near Raymer Elementary School in East Toledo.
The residence, where the video was taken, is about eleven blocks away from where Elaina Steinfurth was last seen on the afternoon of June 2.
Though the source of the video did not want to be identified, WNWO was able to gain access to the person through a family member of Angela Steinfurth.
As of Thursday night, Angela Steinfurth was still behind bars after a judge ordered her held on $250,000 bond.
She appeared before a judge Thursday morning, after being arrested Wednesday night, for allegedly admitting to knowing Elaina suffered a serious physical injury on a prior occasion. Police add that Angela Steinfurth did not seek medical treatment for Elaina, despite knowing about the injury.
Day 12 of the search for the toddler turned up no new clues on her location Thursday. Elaina has been missing since her father went to the Federal Street home where Angela Steinfurth was staying to pick up his daughter and another child the pair had while married.
On Wednesday, Toledo Police and the FBI searched the where Elaina was last seen and another Federal St. home owned by same family.
A vehicle nearby was also searched by a cadaver dog and was towed from the scene.
If you know where Elaina might be you can make an anonymous tip by calling 416-255-1111.
There is a $10,000 reward for information leading authorities to Elaina's location.
