      Family, friends remember owner killed at car dealership

      A small memorial sits at the corner of a car dealership, where one of its employees was shot and killed during a robbery attempt.Messages of condolences adorn a wooden cross and tokens of a community's appreciation rest below for Ricky A. Layson. He was working at R & D Auto Sales on Lewis Avenue near Laskey Road when he was shot multiple times before the suspect fled the scene. Friends and family described Layson as someone who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.Laura Tucker, a family friend of Layson, said she remembers him sacrificing his profits by providing used cars to those who needed them the most at a discounted rate.On Wednesday, Toledo Police continued to comb over the crime scene.Tucker said her only solace lies in thinking back to all the good Layson did for those he loved.
