Tuesday marks the one-year anniversary of one of Lucas County's most tragic accidents.
On December 30, 2007, a drunk driver killed five people in I-280.
Michael Gagnon was driving the wrong way on the interstate when he crashed into a van near the Manhattan Boulevard overpass. Five members of the Griffin family were killed. The Maryland family was travelling from Michigan after the Christmas holiday.
Gagnon's blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.
Three other members of the Griffin family were hurt in the crash.
Michael Gagnon was found guilty in May of aggravated vehicular assault and aggravated vehicluar homicde. He is now serving a 43-year prison sentence.
