Charges have yet to be filed against a young driver involved in a fatal pedestrian crash in Fulton County.
According to an official at the Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), investigators are in the process of organizing a meeting to bring all parties involved in the case into one room.
The meeting is expected to include the 20-year-old driver, Rebecca Sue Yarberry, and her attorney, a representative from the Fulton County Prosecutor's Office and the OSHP investigator leading the case.
Officials said that by bringing everyone together, they'll be able determine exactly what happened, the night of the fatal crash, and decode whether charges should be filed.
When asked for a comment on the investigation, the Fulton County Prosecutor's Office would only say the matter was still under investigation by OSHP.
Authorities said that Yarberry has been completely cooperative since she first reported "knowledge of the crash," to Swanton Police, the evening of April 9.
The 20-year-old did not, however, stop at the scene of the crash.
30-year-old Haylee Michelle Brandt was found in a yard off North Main Street and Valleywoods Drive.
Investigators believe that prior to the crash; Brandt was walking on the right edge of the roadway with her dog.
After Brandt was discovered she was taken by Life Flight to Mercy St. Vincent's but died on April 11.
