Father, daughter killed in Wyandot County house fire

Fire crews from McCutchenville and Sycamore arrived and tried to get in the house to find Lisa's husband, 37-year-old Shawn Stock, and their 2-year-old daughter, Avery.

Tymochtee Twp., Wyandot County (WNWO) Two people were killed in a house fire just after midnight Saturday.

The Wyanbdot County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from a woman inside the home, Lisa Stock, 34.

She told dispatch that she got her one year old daughter Alana out of the house through a window, but she couldn't get herself out.

A Wyandot County deputy was the first to arrive. Sgt. Brandon Kromer found the toddler standing in the snow wearing just a diaper. The sergeant helped Lisa out of the house through the window. She and her daughter were taken to his vehicle for shelter.

Fire crews from McCutchenville and Sycamore arrived and tried to get in the house to find Lisa's husband, 37-year-old Shawn Stock, and their 2-year-old daughter, Avery.

Firemen found Avery and took her, along with her mother and sister, to Wyandot Memorial Hospital.

Shawn Stock was later found in the home and was pronounced dead by the county coroner.

Avery Stock was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

From their initial investigation, fire crews believe a wood stove in the basement may have started the fire. The official cause is still under investigation by Sycamore and McCutchenville fire departments, the Ohio State Fire Marshall's Office, and the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family.

A pastor from Harvest Baptist Temple says the Stock family are members there. They have set up a donation account at the church. All Monetary donations can be sent to The Harvest Baptist Temple PO Box 263 Clyde, Ohio 43410. Donations should reference the Shawn Stock Family.
