Father of missing Morenci brothers names groups he says has sons

More charges have been filed against the father of three Morenci boys missing since Thanksgiving Day.

Prosecutors in Lenawee County charged John Skelton with additional charges of kidnapping and unlawful imprisonment.

Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton were last seen in their father's backyard on Nov. 25, 2010. The boys were reported missing when they were not returned to their mother, Tanya Skelton's, home. John Skelton told a court, during a Dec. hearing, that he gave his sons to an organization . He refused to identify the person or group. At an unrelated hearing in early February, Skelton told a judge that he cannot return the boys to their mother.

On Wednesday, Skelton told authorities that he gave his three boys to a group called "United Foster Outreach" and another group called "Underground Sanctuaries."

Authorities say they cannot locate those groups.

Morenci Police Chief Larry Weeks has said that the investigation into the boys' disappearance is now a murder probe, with Skelton being a main suspect.

Skelton is scheduled to appear in court again on March 9.
