Final CrossFit murder suspect enters not guilty plea

Boone is being held on a $1 million bond at 10 percent.

A fifth man charged in the 2012 murder of a CrossFit gym owner in Toledo pleaded not guilty in a Lucas County courtroom Thursday morning.

20-year-old Deitrekk Boone entered his plea to murder charges in the death 57-year-old Joseph Lengel, who was shot and killed outside the CrossFit Gym on Warehouse Road two years ago.

Boone along with four other men had warrants out for their arrests for the death. The four other men have already been convicted and currently are serving time in prison.

Boone had been on the run until officials found him hiding in Houston in December.

Judge James D. Bates set his bond at $1 million with 10 percent.

His case is scheduled to head to trial April 22 at 9 a.m.
