St. Hedwig Church in Toledo, held the church's final mass this morning.
"This was a beautiful service today," said parishioner Victor Matuszewski.
The first church was originally organized in 1875, and after burning down, was rebuilt in 1890 where it is located today.
Matuszewski commented on why today was the church's last service.
"The neighborhood had changed, and with the change in the neighborhood, you lose people, so the church is going. Nothing we can do about it, just have to accept it and find another way somewhere else."
Another parishioner said that five generations of her family have attended church at St. Hedwig.
The church is now used for weddings and funerals.
