Authorities in Hancock County say one of the two people killed in a weekend plane crash was the CEO of a Bluffton manufacturing company.
Hancock County deputies say Ralf Bronnenmeier, CEO of Grob Systems, was piloting the single-engine Lancair IV-P plane that crashed early Sunday morning. The crash occcurred at 1:11 a.m. in a ditch on County Road 18, between Township Road 215 and County Road 216, northeast of Findlay in Cass Township.
The name of the female passenger hasn't been released yet.
Authorities say the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board have launched investigations.
Bronnenmeier and his passenger were traveling from Holland, Michigan, to Bluffton.
