Officials at Adrian College are working to find alternate housing for students displaced by a fire at off-campus apartments.
The Daily Telegram in Adrian reports that Monday afternoon's blaze burned a large portion of the 38-unit Orchard Apartments building, next to the school's campus and about 60 miles southwest of Detroit.
No injuries were reported. Fire Chief Paul Trinka says the cause of the blaze wasn't immediately clear. He says inspectors were checking the building before deciding when residents could return.
Adrian College says 13 students and two faculty members live in the units, which aren't owned by the school.
School spokeswoman Jennifer Compton says displaced students either will be found lodgings on campus or in alternate housing.
