      Flu shot clinic helps Lucas County residents get vaccinated

      offered a flu shot clinic on Saturday, in the wake of a deadly outbreak.


      A steady flow of walk-ins received the flu vaccinations at 635 N. Erie St. in downtown Toledo. A recent flu outbreak has

      claimed several lives

      in Lucas County and officials with the Lucas County Health Department say itâ??s important for people to protect themselves.


      â??Right now weâ??re getting into the flu season so we want to make sure everyoneâ??s protected and theyâ??re vaccinated,â?? said Greg Moore, Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program Manager. He added, â??This is a great time to get vaccinated.â??


      The adult flu vaccine cost $30 dollars and could be paid by Medicaid, Medicare and other health insurances.
