Flurries & frost in play this week...
Mon, 21 Oct 2013 13:35:21 GMT —
We'll be wet, windy and mild today as a powerful cold front approaches. Scattered showers develop later this morning and will stick around most of the day. If there's any good news it's that we are mild again today, something we won't be seeing again for quite some time! On strong, gusty winds out of the southwest and up to 30 mph we will see seasonable highs near 60 degrees.
The showers move east this evening and skies will partially clear overnight. The cool air rushes in and by daybreak will deliver lows in the mid 30's.
A change of wardrobe will be required Tuesday! While we will see plenty of sunshine with skies being partly cloudy, a cool northwest breeze will garnar highs not getting out of the upper 40's.
Another cold front dives into the region Tuesday night and will generate another round of rain showers and the possibility of some wet snow flakes/flurries and lows fall into the mid 30's again.
The rest of the work week remains cold with afternoon highs not getting out of the 40's and overnight lows in the chilly low and mid 30's. Our first widespread frost of this fall season may be achieved early Friday morning.
Bundle up and stay tuned...
