Ford's credit no longer considered junk

Ford's credit rating is no longer junk.

The Fitch Ratings Agency restored the automaker's credit rating to investment grade.

Gord's debt has been at junk status since 2005.

The company was forced to mortgage its factories and other assets to borrow billions in order to stay out of bankruptcy.

Fitch says Ford's assets will be released once another agency boosts the company's credit rating.
