Former Seneca Co. teacher gets prison time for having sex with student

A former Tiffin-area school teacher is set to move into a jail cell after having sex with a 16-year-old student.

Kenneth Shock, 41, resigned from his position as an instructor at Sentinel Career Center last April after being accused of engaging in a sexual relationship with a student. He pleaded guilty in October to a charge of attempted sexual battery.

On Thursday, a Seneca County judge sentenced Shock to nine months in jail.

Shock has also been ordered to give up his teaching license. He served as an instructor in the center's public safety services program.
