First Energy is holding two informational meetings Tuesday regarding a new 20-year lease on the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Plant.
The meetings have been planned from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and another meeting from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Camp Perry Conference Center.
The public is asked to comment on a draft report about environmental impacts of the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Plant located in Oak Harbor.
According to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the draft shows no environmental impacts that would prevent the license renewal.
In a $600 million project, the plant received upgrades earlier this month, two steam generators installed in addition to the original components dating back to 1977.
