Found by good samaritan, Findlay toddler released to mom after 2 hour search

After searching for two hours, authorities were able to locate the mother of a child found wandering alone along a Findlay street, Thursday afternoon.
Findlay Police say although the boy wasn't harmed, the case has been referred the City's Law Director and
Child Protective Services
Around 2 p.m., officials say they were called to the 1300-block of Fox Street by a concerned citizen who found the child.
After a search of the area, and finding no one familiar with the boy, the child was brought to the Findlay Police Department.
Meanwhile, officers continued to search the neighborhood where the child was found. Officials entered his information into Ohio's
Law Enforcement Automated Data System
(LEADS) and the FBI's
Findlay Police also released a photo of the child, who was wearing only a diaper, to local media outlets and using social media.
Around 6 p.m., the child's mother called police to claim her child and was asked to come to the police station.
The motherâ??s identity was verified and the boy was released into her care.
Authorities have not released the name of the child's mother or given the boy's age and name.
A press release from Findlay Police also failed to explain how or why the boy ended up alone.
