Fugitive in court for ex-girlfriend slaying

Jordan Jones was shot inside her west Toledo apartment in October.

The man accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend in a west Toledo apartment appeared in court Friday.

29-year-old Marquis Walker is charged with murder of 23-year-old Jordan Jones, who was shot multiple times inside her apartment at Tamaron Towers in October. Officials allege Walker forced his way into the apartment before shooting her.

Walker had been hiding from officials for several months until U.S. Marshals officials captured him in Arkansas at a stand-off last week.

The judge set a $1 million bond at no percent. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on April 4.
