Officials in the Village of Gibsonburg have lifted the boil advisory issued Wednesday.
Water samples sent out for testing came back negative for contamination...and the advisory was lifted in the early afternoon hours of Friday.
A water main connection from the village's water tower to the main water line that supplies residents broke Wednesday morning, flooding nearby back yards and streets for a short time.
Gibsonburg Schools were forced to send students home early Wednesday due to a lack of water pressure in their buildings.
Bolts making that connection had corroded to the point of failure...disappointing for administrators since they had just been replaced about a year ago.
