Residents in Gibsonburg have been put under a boil advisory until further notice after a water main break cut off water Wednesday.
Village officials said a water main break at the water tower on Webster Street prompted the boil advisory. Crews worked throughout the late morning and early afternoon to repair the break.
Water has been restored to the village; however, residents are being asked to boil water for consumption for the next two days.
Students at Gibsonburg schools were dismissed at 1 p.m. due to the water main break, according to the district's superintendent.
