Got drugs? Rossford police will take them back
Sept. 29 marks another Drug Enforcement Administration opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted prescription drugs.
Police encourage citizens to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous, expired, unused and unwanted medications during the "Drug Take Back" event at Target Pharmacy, located at 9866 U.S. 20 in Rossford. Anyone can drop off drugs at the pharmacy from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 29.
According to Rossford police, Americans turned in 552,161 pounds of prescription drugs at more than 5,600 sites last April. During the last four "Take Back" events, authorities took in more than 1.5 million pounds of pills.
