The 2014 election to determine who will become Ohio's next Governor is still months away, but Republican John Kasich is already campaigning.

The Governor will speak at the Wood County Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner in Bowling Green on Thursday evening.

Kasich is expected to deliver his remarks at the beginning of a gathering at Stone Ridge Golf Club on 1553 Muirfield Dr. The dinner will take place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The visit is part of the Governor Kasich and Lieutenant Governor Mary Taylor campaign, which hopes to secure the Republican's re-election.

The Democrats' running against the Kasich ticket include Cuyahoga County executive Ed FitzGerald and running mate Sharen Neuhardt.
