      Governor Kasich signs agreement to protect Lake Erie from invasive species


      Governor John Kasich was in Port Clinton Wednesday afternoon for "Fish Ohio Day."

      ut the governor also signed an agreement to protect fish in Lake Erie and the industries that depend on it.

      federal, and international agencies.

      t sets the stage for educational campaigns and coordinates the treatment to fight off aquatic invasive species such as Asian carp, zebra mussels, and sea lamprey.

      here's no way to 100 percent to prevent introduction of AIS, but we'll do everything we can in preventing those," explains Scott Zody, chief of the Ohio Division of Wildlife.
