Guilty verdicts in Moody Manor murder trial

A Lucas County Jury has convicted two Toledo men on charges they shot and killed a toddler and wounded her sister last year.

The jury reached its verdict after about a day and a half of deliberations.

21-year-old Keshawn Jennings and 19-year-old Antwaine Jones were convicted on all 8 counts they faced including, aggravated murder, murder and attempted murder.

Jennings and Jones opened fire on the Moody Manor Apartment complex last year killing 1-year-old Keondra Hooks and wounding her 2-year-old sister Leondra.

A third defendent, James Moore, took a plea deal from prosecutors and testified against the other two. Jones said they fired into the wrong apartment that day.

As part of Jones' plea deal he will be sentenced to 3 years in prison.

Jennings and Jones each face life in prison when they are sentenced later this month.
