State fire marshal officials say they will continue their investigation into a fire that swept through Cleland's Outdoor World Monday afternoon.
The gun shop fire closed a portion of Airport Highway at Eber Road in Swanton as crews battled the blaze into the evening Monday.
The fire was reported at approximately 2:30 p.m. at Cleland's, which is home to a gun and hunting retail operation, as well as an indoor weapons range.
There were no reported injuries. The blaze had reportedly broken through the roof of the building.
Eyewitnesses reported they could hear the ammunition detonating inside the building.
Patrons and employees of Loma Lindas on Airport Highway, across from Cleland's, were ordered to stay inside until the fire was brought under control.
The fire started small brush fires in the area. Crews from Springfield Township and Monclova Township fire departments were brought in to battle the fires.
Fire investigators were on the scene conducting interviews on Monday and will continue processing the scene once it has been made safe for entry. There is no word on the cause or origin of the fire at this time.
