      Gun stolen during Sylvania Southview girl's basketball game

      Surveillance image of man police believe stole a handgun during a Southview girl's basketball game


      Sylvania police are looking for this guy.


      They say he stole a handgun from inside Sylvania Southview high school during a girls basketball game on January 9. The gun was in the locker of one of the referee's of the game against Clay High School.


      This image was taken inside a Sylvania Rite Aid shortly after the theft.


      The referee, 45-year-old Darrel Phillips says his weapon along with credit cards and cash were taken. Phillips who has a concealed carry permit could face charges for carrying a gun on school property. That's up to the Lucas County Prosecutor.
