Hancock County boy injured in ATV accident

A Hancock County boy was injured after being thrown from an ATV Sunday night.

A 13-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital Sunday night following an ATV accident in Hancock County. The crash happened at 8:49 p.m.

According to the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, Andrew Wehrly was driving a 2007 Suzuki King Quad in a stone drive behind 14367 Township Road 37 in Jackson Township.

Authorities say Wehrly lost control and the ATV flipped on its side. He was thrown from the vehicle.

Deputies say Wehrly was taken by ambulance to Blanchard Valley Hospital with unknown injuries. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, which remains under investigation.

The Arlington Fire Department and Hanco EMS both assisted at the scene.
