      Health department helping Toledo-area restaurants operate safely

      Health officials in Lucas County are helping local restuarants get up and running safely on Sunday, more than 24 hours after the city of Toledo began urging residents to avoid consuming tap water.

      Health officials in Lucas County are helping local restuarants get up and running safely on Sunday, more than 24 hours after the city of Toledo began urging residents to avoid consuming tap water.

      The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department has set up a dedicated hotline for restaurant operators to call with questions on how to properly protect the general public during the current water crisis.

      Restaurants are being told to use bottled water for all operations. Only if they do so, then they are deemed safe to operate.
