Heat and humidity build BIG time today. As you head out be sure to grab your umbrella and, if you're working/playing outdoors today, bring along a water bottle too!
Hit and miss showers are possible this morning but it won't be a washout. If you have stuff to get done today this morning is the best bet to get after it. Heat and humidity stream in on strong winds from the southwest and by this afternoon with temps climbing into the mid-80's and heat indices even warmer than that we will see scattered showers and thunderstorms develop with some locally heavy rains and gusty winds.
The scattered showers and storms will continue overnight and into Tuesday morning before we clear things out Tuesday afternoon. Highs will be in the low and mid 80's.
Wednesday offer some refreshment with sunshine and cooler, drier air into the early afternoon hours - we're talkking mid 70's for highs. As we get into late afternoon and the evening hours another cold front heads our way kicking off another wave of showers and thunderstorms. Some of these storms could be on the strong side... stay tuned.
Behind that front another Canadian high pressure system streams into the region and set us up for another refreshing end to the work week and start to the weekend with plenty of sunshine, low humidity and pleasant highs in the 70's.
Have a great day and stay cool.
