A Henry County woman is going to prison for about 4 years for the drug overdose death of her 13 month old daughter.
Jayme Schwenkmeyer, 25, was given Tuesday the recommended sentence of four years. The judge gave her credit for 333 days already served and fined her $10,000.
She accepted a plea deal last month in connection to the 2007 incident. Her daughter, Kamryn Gerken, ingested a lethal cocktail of the anti-anxiety medication Xanax and painkiller oxycodone.
Do you think this was a fair sentence or did the mother get off lightly? Post your comments below.
