The Anthony Wayne Bridge, or High Level Bridge, across the Maumee River will be closed to eastbound traffic starting Saturday morning at 7:00 AM. The bridge will reopen Monday, June 6, at 6:00 AM.
The bridge is being closed for joint repair.
The detour is Summit Street to Main Street/Cherry Street, across the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Bridge, to Oak Street, to Woodville Road.
ODOT has a massive refurbishment project scheduled for the Anthony Wayne Bridge in 2013. The rehabilitation of the bridge will take two years and cost approximately $50 million. The bridge has been deemed structurally insufficient by at least one professional engineering group.
