Just a few weeks away from opening its doors, expected to be sometime after May 28th, the Hollywood Casino Toledo is still looking to fill around 100 positions.
"A lot of people assume all the positions are full. They're actually not, we're looking predominantly for some food and beverage positions," said Hollywood Casino's VP of Human Resources Chrystal Herndon.
Some of the opportunities that are still available include positions as sous chef, servers, model beverage servers and back-of house support.
Those hired will be working in the Casino's new Final Cut Steak & Seafood Restaurant, Epic Buffet, Scene Sports Grill, H Lounge, Take 2 Grill and team member dining room.
Herndon suggests that those interested in applying for the positions can go to the casino's website.
"We're really looking there everyday. So we are responding to people very quickly right now," Herndon notes.
The additional employees will complete the hiring of the 1,300 employees needed to run the new facility.
According to Herndon, a little over 1,200 have already been brought on.
Many began their job training, on Thursday, and have started learning how to provide the Hollywood "experience" to casino guests.
"They are eager, they're a little bit uncertain in many respects because they donâ??t know what they are getting into," Herndon said.
There are several preliminary requirements for job applicants.
They must be at least 21 years old, have a high school diploma or GED and must pass a nicotine, drug and background check.
