It was a happy homecoming for the 180th fighter wing of the Ohio Air National Guard Sunday morning.
ceremony was held for the members of the unit at the fighter wing base in Swanton. The 180th fighter wing spent a nearly two and half month deployment to Africa and Jordan.
the unit provided security to maritime vessels and conducted flying operations in support of combat readiness.
"It's away for us to say thanks to our people, thanks to our families and all of those folks that contributed to our success overseas," explains Chief Master Sergeant of the 180th fighter wing Daniel Baumert.
ormal flying operations for the fighter wing will resume Monday, September 9th.
