How 'bout some more snow?
Fri, 07 Feb 2014 14:00:38 GMT —
We're kickin' off the weekend with record-setting, dangerous cold. A Wind Chill Warning is in effect through noon Friday. While the advisory may be allowed to expire, we will be in frostbite territory all day. We will see sunshine with partly cloudy skies - but no warmth as highs barely get above 10 degrees and windchills will be -10 to -20 all day. Take precautions if you are heading out please.
We'll be partly cloudy and cold overnight with lows just below zero. Clouds will be on the increase Saturday, as skies become mostly cloudy during the afternoon with highs in the upper teens. Light but widespread snow moves in late in the afternoon and will continue into the day Sunday before tapering off during the afternoon.By the time the snow does wrap up Sunday, we'll see another 1 - 3" on top of our snowpack. Highs Saturday and Sunday will top out in the upper teens and lower 20's.
Behind The Alberta Clipper, another shot of bitterly cold Arctic High Pressure moves in for the first half of the work week.
Looking at the medium range forecast models, which I trust out to about 10 or 12 days it looks like more of the same. Be smart, stay safe and hang in there.
Have a great weekend. I'll be watching The Olympics, hope you will too. GO USA!
