Hundreds of residents without power in Rossford

Toledo Edison said it expects power to return by noon Tuesday.

Utility crews are fixing a power outage in Rossford after a car knocked down utility lines Tuesday morning.

Rossford Police Chief Glenn Goss Sr., said up to 500 customers are without power, including Buck Road traffic signals.

Officials said the report came in around 8:15 a.m. that a car had spun out of control from black ice on Wales Road. The car crashed into utility poles, causing the lines to fall down.

No injuries were reported. Residents near Lime City Road and Grassy Creek subdivision are also experiencing an outage.

Toledo Edison said it expects power to be restored by noon Tuesday.

All Saints Catholic School cancelled classes all day Tuesday due to the power outage.
