TOLEDO -- As the construction season rolls on, the Ohio Department of Transportation has announced additional restrictions on northwest Ohio roadways that are slated to last into 2016.
Beginning Friday, August 29, drivers are advised to expect traffic shifts on southbound I-475 between Airport Highway and Salisbury Road/Dussel Drive. The lane shifts are due to a continuing bridge widening project.
Through May 2016, overnight lane restrictions will be possible on I-475 between the Angola Road overpass and Salisbury Road/Dussel Drive exit. 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place on the stretch of roadway.
Through June 2016, lane and shoulder restrictions are possible along the Ohio Turnpike at the I-475 bridge overpass.
Local traffic will also be affected by the bridge widening project.
Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 2, Angola Road will be closed at the I-475 underpass. The closure is scheduled to last through December. Motorists are advised to use McCord Road, Airport Highway, or Holland-Sylvania Road.
Through June 2015, Manley Road will be closed at the Ohio Turnpike underpass.
