According to NBC News, a controversial ingredient that was planned for Ben and Jerry's new ice cream flavor has been dropped.
The Huffington Post quotes a Boston Globe report that said the Harvard Square location of Ben & Jerry's had begun to sell a limited-release ice cream flavor called "Taste The Lin-Sanity".
New York Knicks sensation Jeremy Lin is a Harvard graduate.
The report from NBC says initial plans called for the vanilla frozen yogurt, honey swirls, and bits of fortune cookies.
Almost immediately the last ingredient raised some eyebrows, some calling it racist.
Now, Ben and Jerry's decided not to include the fortune cookie bits and are using a waffle cookie instead.
The famous ice cream company said the official reason for the switch was the fortune cookies get soggy.
