Jemison admits role in death of local activist

Robert Brundage

Dailahntae Jemison, 16, accepted responsibility for the robbery and murder of a local activist on June 22. Mr. Jemison answered questions posed to him by Judge Connie Zemmelman where he indicated he was responsible for the robbery and murder of Robert Brundage.

On June 22, Mr. Brundage was riding his bicycle on Collingwood Ave. when he was attacked and knocked from his bicycle. He died on July 7 of blunt force trauma to the head.

Jemison will be sentenced on September 29. Earlier, Judge Zemmelman determined that Jemison would be tried as a juvenile. Under that ruling, the longest possible sentence he could serve would be five years -- until he reaches the age of 21.
