John Skelton tells TV station he did not harm missing sons

DETROIT (AP) - The father of three missing Michigan boys tells a Detroit TV station that he has not harmed them.

John Skeltontells WXYZ-TV in a telephone interview from the Lenawee County Jail that he's "always maintained" he "didn't hurt" 9-year-old Andrew, 7-year-old Alexander and 5-year-old Tanner.

The interview was conducted Tuesday and aired Wednesday.

Skelton is charged with parental kidnapping.

Police announced Tuesday the case now is a homicide investigation.

The boys last were seen on Thanksgiving outside Skelton's Morenci home, north west of Toledo. Skelton is estranged from wife Tanya Skelton and had their children during visitation.

He said during a hearing in December that he gave them to someone from an "organization" that he wouldn't identify. Skelton says he doesn't know where the boys are located.
