According to court documents, a "Motion for Funeral Furlough" made on behalf of Angela Steinfurth has been denied.
The request was made following the announcement of funeral arrangements for Steinfurth's 1-year-old daughter, Elaina, who was found dead earlier this month.
Steinfurth's father, Richard Schiewe, had hoped his daughter would be able to attend the funeral for the toddler who disappeared on June 2. The child's body was found three months later inside an east Toledo garage at the home where she was last seen.
Angela Steinfurth and her ex-boyfriend, Steven King, were the last two people to see the child alive. Both are facing obstruction of justice charges in Baby Elaina's disappearance.
King's trial is set to begin Oct. 7.
