A Toledo auto parts company, down to just one worker following a downturn in the American industry, is now over 100 strong and hiring.
On Monday, workers at American Manufacturing took a little off from work to hear from U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown and U.S. Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur.
The CEO of the company, Chuck Gotberg, welcomed the visit by the pair saying both Brown and Kaptur were instrumental in getting the auto bailout which American Manufacturing needed to survive.
In separate speeches, Kaptur and Brown both credited President Obama with the turnaround.
Senator Brown also recognized contributions by the Small Business Administration and Waterford Bank in the success of American Manufacturing.
"[They] provided the financing to get this company up and running after it fell on hard times," Brown said.
