Lambertville man arrested in police speed chase

24-year-old man faces felony fleeting and eluding charges.

A man crossed highway medians to avoid getting pulled over during a car chase Monday night.

24-year-old man Patrick Garrett Howe is being held at the Lucas County Jail and will be extradited back to Michigan. He faces felony fleeting and eluding charges.

Authorities got a call around 8:30 p.m. about a red Chevy Cobalt weaving in and out of traffic on Temperance and Jackman Roads. That's when Deputy Sheriff William Broman tried pulling the car over, but the driver continued to speed through several stop signs.

The car sped south on US-23 at Consear Road and entered the south entrance of I-475. Sylvania Police officers joined forces in the chase to stop the driver who cut across the median to lose their trail. The suspect then crashed his car on the barrier wall. No reported drivers were injured.
