Authorities in Lenawee County say the inmate that escaped an Adrian jail earlier this week broke a lock to a court cell before fleeing on foot.
27-year-old Scott Warren Henning, of Swanton, remains on the loose after escaping from a cell at the Lenawee County Courthouse Tuesday morning. Authorities said he damaged the lock to a lock-up door, allowing him access to an open area. From there he escaped the building with his hands secured by handcuffs in front of his body.
The Swanton man was being held on a 93-day sentence for violation of probation on a reckless driving charge. Authorities believe he may be hiding out near where he is from in Fulton County.
Henning is 6-feet tall, weighs 180 pounds, and was last seen wearing a blue shirt and gray pants. He is not believed to be armed.
The Lenawee County Sheriff's Department said multiple agencies are assisting in their attempt to locate Henning.
Anyone who sees this man is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
