Toledo-based Libbey Glass is recalling glass bowls because of the risk that someone could get cut.
The glass company says their Fantasy bowls were sold at Libbey Outlet stores, Home Outfitters, and to commercial customers for use in foodservice establishments nationwide from August 2010 through September 2011.
The bowls can break from impact or from sudden temperature changes, posing a cutting hazard. Libbey has received one report of a glass bowl breaking while being washed in a commercial dishwasher, though no injuries were reported.
The bowls are 8.5 ounces, made of clear colorless glass, and were manufactured in China. They TMre lop-sided, with one side taller than the other. Nearly 17,000 were sold in the United States.
For more information on the recall, you can contact Libbey Glass Incorporated at 800-982-7063 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Or, you can visit the company TMs website at www.libbey.com
