Tuesday evening's severe weather created some electrical power outages after a lightning bolt struck a main wire.
A spokesman from Toledo Edison said the main wire collapsed onto the roads and burst into flames around midnight. A lineman responded but waited for Edison crews before turning the power off. Crews arrived on the scene around midnight at the intersection of Glendale Avenue and South Byrne. Nearby residents lost power because of the fallen power line.
As of 11:40 a.m. about 60 customers are still without power. Thomas Edison said crews are still on the scene but expect to be done by 2 p.m.
