Local business is easing construction pains downtown
TOLEDO, Ohio (WNWO) - Downtown Toledo is a cone zone. But, The Blarney Irish Pub is making the best of the situation.
The restaurant has a sign up, offering 10% off lunch to all construction workers.
They say the sign will stay up as long as the orange cones do. It’s their way of saying thank you.
“They’re working hard out here, trying to get it done as fast as they possibly can,” said Bill Kline, general manager of The Blarney. “Obviously, they can’t do this stuff in the winter time, now is the time to get it done.”
If you're a construction worker, all you have to do is head on in.
The Blarney is also paying for spots in a neighboring lot so customers have an easier time finding a place to park when they come to eat. That lot is paid for Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
