Looking for a job? Area employer looking for 'Screamsters'

Cedar Point is hiring people who can scare the park's guests.

Cedar Point is hiring and looking for hundreds of potential employees "who get a thrill out of scaring unsuspecting people".

Halloween may still be months away but the â??Best Amusement Park in the Worldâ?? is already holding interviews, throughout August, to fill more than 300 "Screamster" positions.

Those selected are transformed into witches, zombies and various other monsters whose job is to scare guests attending Cedar Point's 18th annual HalloWeekends event.

Cedar Point will provide bus transportation to and from Bowling Green State University, Oberlin College, Kent State and the University of Toledo for students who want to work at the park this fall.

Free weekend housing is available to those who qualify.

Interview sessions will be held each Sunday in August from 2-7 p.m. at Cedar Pointâ??s Castaway Bay indoor waterpark, located at 2001 Cleveland Road, Sandusky.

Applicants are asked to apply online for a position prior to attending an interview session.

HalloWeekends takes place on Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays, Sept. 12 through Nov. 1.
