Lourdes University Dean becomes newest Provost

Geoffrey J. Grubb serves as newest university Provost.

Former Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, Geoffrey J. Grubb, serves as the newest Provost for Lourdes University.

He succeeds Lourdesâ?? Interim Provost Keith Schlender who retired in July. Dr. Grubb started his new two-year position August 1.

Dr. Grubb served the Lourdes community for 28 years, in various positions from Professor and Chairperson of Religious Studies to Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs to most recently Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences.

â??I am pleased to welcome Dr. Grubb as Lourdesâ?? new Provost,â?? said Lourdes President David J. Livingston. â??He has the experience and vision to lead the academic side of the University over the next two years and I am confident that he will serve the institution well in this new role, as he has already done in his 30+ years in higher education.â??

University officials said Dr. Grubbâ??s plans to develop class schedules for the universityâ??s student body, initiate new undergraduate program offerings and celebrate the facultyâ??s scholarly achievements.
