The Blarney Irish Pub in downtown Toledo dedicated Tuesday night to Guadalupe Ramos, the single mother who in the space of a month lost her son and brother in a car accident and then her home to fire.
Since Ramos' plight became public she has been the beneficiary of many acts of kindness. "Sometimes you don't know how to comfort somebody, this is like my family and it feels good," Ms. Ramos said.
92.5 Kiss FM is doing an "Extreme Makeover" for the Ramos family. Andrew Zepeda of "Andrew Z in the Morning" says that Wednesday at 8:00 a.m., the crew will tear down what is left of the Ramos' former home. "I felt that not only are we going to be able to help Lupe, but Lupe is going to be able to help us in return with the community rallying behind her and I felt that it's the right time and the right place and we needed to do it," Andrew Z said.
A website has been established for the Ramos family-- www.loveforlupe.com.
